Yet another homemade shoot. Its been nearly a week since I last posted. Lazy me. All I've been doing after work is curling up in my new mink blanket and watching re-runs of Friends and Seinfeld. I don't know how other blogger's find the time or place to shoot everyday, especially with a full time job! I sure give them a whole lot of props. NYFW and LA fashion week is coming up real soon. I want to go, BAD. Real BAD.

Fur + Floral

If you can recall, I posted something awhile back about Fur + Floral for f/w 2010. Since I can't seem to shut up about it, I've decided to permanently adapt these looks in various combination into my wardrobe. Bare with me as you'll notice a similar getup repeated throughout the coming season.

I've always had a knack for buying men's tops especially cardigans just for the oversize look. It's also the equivalent to a jacket in my book.

The misty weather lately has got me craving hot chocolate a la marshmallows by a fireplace wrapped up in outerwear--cable knits, chunky sweaters, possibly a new coat. All on my list of needs, not wants. After all, a girl needs to stay warm.

 I've always had my eyes on Vince. Every piece in their line is always solid, tailored, and best of all, comfy. Never too trendy with just the right amount of detail to be considered a basic with the ability to transition from season to season. A classic.

It's unfortunate their prices are outrageous, but definitely your moneys worth. I eagerly wait for them to go on sale at my nearest Bloomingdales in hopes of finding a remainder of small sizes. Got lucky with this military gauze like knit. Long enough to be a tunic/dress, but tucked in for today. I'm envisioning it layered all kind of ways.

Running Late

Made sure to get in a post for today. Had my bf follow me around snapping random pics as I was rushing to make it to work on time. Turns out I was still late. How did I manage to lock myself out of my car by throwing the keys in the trunk then shutting it, realizing a millisecond later what I had done. Eff.

Dress previously worn here. Upon taking it off, I discovered it can be turned into a light cardigan. The buttons go down to the hem and can be worn opened with...I'm imagining some sort of sheer tank underneath.  Highlight of my day!

 This top has been worn all sort of ways from casual to formal. Not only does it fight the humidity, it works tucked into a pencil skirt, but even better with shorts. Versatility at its best. 

 

I normally don't pick up anything from PacSun, but there was a huge summer sale the other day. Took it as an opportunity to grab a bunch of Rvca pieces (shorts pictured) for less.

Material Girl by Madonna

Material Girl, the clothing line launched by Madonna + her daughter is exclusively being sold at Macy's. The media frenzy over this collection tempted me to drop by the other day to see if it lived up to the hype. With the incorporation of  lace, bows, and rosaries, there is surely a reminiscence of Madge's wardrobe in the 80's.

And for a line targeted at the junior market, quality and price prove to be on point.

 This particualr one had everything I'd expect in a moto jacket-- quilted details, applets, zippered cuffs, but best of all, the fit. The collars also fold, asymmetrically zipping all the way up the neck, though I doubt it'll be needed.

Colorful Weekend

Must be tired of the apartment pics by now. I know I am, but San Francisco weather is just not permitting me to take shots in depressing overcast sceneries. Not a peek of sunshine in this city. Luckily, my friends and I were able to escape 2 hours away to 80 degree temperatures, an amazing view of a lake, and finger licking bbq chicken.

Attached to my recent purchase, a mini backpack from a variety shop in the Mission right next to my favorite taco spot, La Taqueria.
