This pic was taken a couple weeks back from the Joyrich show at LA Fashion Weekend. It was an awesome and fun filled night. I have a ton of images I plan to sort and post in the next couple days from LA and Hawaii. Just returned this morning and I am super tired. San Francisco is 3 hours ahead so you can imagine how sleep deprived I must be. Goodnight Lovlies :)

The top actually lands a few inches under my thighs, making a great minidress for someone petite like me. I tied the ends because it's not capable of being a dress on windy days. It was really the washed silk though that drew me to it. You can tell, I've been into the shorts covered by huge chunky knits. I'm letting you know, it's here to stay for awhile.

 I have a day left before I leave for Hawaii. Hear it's not exactly the best place for shopping, but at least some mula will be saved while I soak in the sun and feast on fresh fruit.

I notice it's when I feel sluggish, I end up with oversize clothes. Wasn't too sure what I was wearing when I stepped out of the house. Mornings are always a challenge for me. It often feels like a race but it's my own fault to re-hit the snooze button right down to the last second to make to work in the nick of time.

Pulled my boyfriend's shirt out of the hamper for what I hoped could be used as a jacket, but there's no justifying it. Lucky for me, I've been carrying my trusty knit in the trunk of my car as back up. :)

Besides the icky weather I just could not come to terms with, LA Fashion Weekend was filled with more than enough iced Spanish latte's from Urth Cafe along with an undeniable addiction to donuts from the hotel lobby.

My bestest and I spent Friday afternoon at the California Market Center where Soraya showcased that adorable gumball racerback. Joy Han came out with their signature silks with prints splashed all over. Always enough that you don't need anything else to complete the outfit. I would go as far to be bare feet and free flowing through the grass. On another note, shoulder exposure is continuing to be a huge detail for Spring 2011.

Visited my mom's for an early dinner and decided to shoot from the back entrance. Mom seems to love it each time I ask her to take my picture, though she still can't grasp the reason for a fashion blog, no matter how many times I try to explain it.

The wedges are my version of what I like to call my Camilla Skovgaard knock offs. Wish I had the real thing though.....I'm so deep in love with her footwear.

Does anyone else's mind usually draw a blank when it comes to figuring out a post title? Me? Always. Because today is no exception, the title is simple enough with no philosophical or symbolic meaning for you to go into deep thought about. :)

So many little tasks to get out of the way before heading to LA for fashion week.

Paperwork needs taken care of, business cards need to be printed, finalizing various freelance projects, and I'd also like to get some more things up for sale on Ebay.

By Thursday night, I should I WILL have checkmarks beside all of the above. Must zip it now and go for the goal.

 More times then often, I let my lazy days get the best of me. In result, basics are thrown on while accessories make the outfit.  

 Picked up this rad vintage Fendi cuff through some consignment shop up the hill from me. I was pretty stoked to stumble upon it on my way out after trying on a number of ill fitting garments. 

October has treated me well so far. With a couple of expensive trips lined up this month, I've had to sacrifice my wants for my needs. That means going easy on the wallet by decreasing my starbucks intake, eating in and no shopping. Giving up coffee is hurting me the most. I shouldn't be complaining though. I'll be in LA for Fashion Week, Hawaii after, then a Gorillaz/ N.E.R.D concert when I return. Just maybe ending the month with a Halloween outing too :)

Shearling Surprise

The jacket comes off as black, but is more of a chocolate brown up close. I'm a little colorblind, so it's all the same in my eyes. Shearling was all over Burberry this Winter, trickling down to the blog rounds, into every possible fashion magazine and now on me. I'm just really glad to be warm. It was real cold today.

Starting to FALL

This fall it's all about neutrals in a darker sense. Pairings of copper, camel, and gray will be a combination of mine for the season. Never have I been one to react to wool, but the small percentage of angora turned quite problematic against my skin as the day went on.

Apart from occasional excursions, I've been tucked away watching back to back episodes of Jersey Shore. 2 shows at a time is much more than the recommended daily dosage to create brainfart. Can't seem to shake the phrases "G.T.L" and "Teeee-Shiiiiiirt Tiiiime" out of my mind. I know I could be making better use of my time viewing BBC or reading Huffington Post, or even WWD, but no. It's no wonder they have such a cult following.
