Mondays have a way of creeping up on you way too fast. It's always a crazy day that I want the least of my problems to be what to wear. Basics always do the trick though. Every girl should own a trench. It's such an easy piece to work around. Also worn here.

What I wore this past Saturday out to a casual dinner. It's so great to see the sun out past 7:30pm that wearing night attire just doesn't seem appropriate.

My boyfriend and I failed to find parking after searching for half an hour. We ended up ordering food to go and ate back home. So really, this outfit was a total waste. Although, eating fried chicken mac and cheese on the couch may just be the best feeling in the world. There is a silver lining after all.

Proclaiming my love here for denim on denim. The jacket is super lite, it acts both as a shirt and the perfect summer cover up. 

I turned 28 this week, which means I'm nearly 30! Out of nowhere, I started watching skateboarding for dummies via You Tube and impulsively bought one online. A sad attempt to feel and act like a kid again.

I think I may be coming down with something. Everyone around me is on the sick train and for a second I was feeling quite proud I dodged that bullet. Spoke way too soon. My throat is starting to close up and I can hear the raspy voice arising. Time to go into hypochondriac mode which means increasing my dosage of vitamin c and washing my hands o.c.d style. Wearing shorts on a windy day probably wasn't the greatest idea...

This summer I'm definitely rocking the bralet. They make great layering pieces for fun in the sun days and hot summer nights. It's best to choose one that isn't sheer, you can pull off as a top to avoid looking like you have lingerie on. The little bit of bare midriff shows off a peek of skin without exposing too much. Super fresh and so summer sexy!

Default outfit when getting to work is priority. Colored denim is easiest with a basic button up or t-shirt. These are by Else. Created by the brains behind Joe's jeans who designed the line exclusively for Macy's. The kind of jeans you buy in almost every hue in existence because they fit so damn well. For half the price of designer jeans, but by no means rid you of the quality. I must've worn them over a dozen times, which is surprising why they have just now made it on the blog. Equivalent to cotton spandex, I'd even wear them to sleep. Not that its been done. But I'm saying I wouldn't mind it one bit.
